Hello,

My name is Hyobin An, a mechanical engineering student at the University of Toronto. I have always been curious about the operation of machines and the mechanics of devices. Science and mathematics courses in high school have allowed me to have strong academic skills to achieve excellence in mathematics and the sciences, and also it has made me have interest in chemical engineering and mechanical engineering.

In my first year of university, I knew that my interests pointed to engineering, but I was not sure exactly what branch of engineering I was interested in. Therefore, I went to the University of Alberta and studied general engineering. In the University of Alberta, I realized that I am more interested in designing mechanical parts. Hence, I transferred to mechanical engineering. As I studied intensively in chemical engineering and mechanical engineering and participated in numerous projects as a member of academic clubs, I have focused on having a career in the field of technology, joining my passions for engineering.
